Longer Journeys
Buses connect Salisbury to many other towns and cities as far afield as Pewsey, Devizes, Swindon and Bournemouth. Some of these services operate from early to late and at frequent intervals; others are more restricted.
Real time information
Nearly all buses are now equipped with devices to provide real-time information which can be viewed on displays in bus stops, or on various mobile apps and websites, such as bustimes.org. This is of considerable help in knowing if or when a particular service is running. Salisbury Reds provides detailed time tables, map routes and detailed maps showing where the bus is in real time – really handy when you want to know where your bus actually is! This usually provides the confidence that your bus is running and the you know exactly where it is on your route.
In addition on line maps such as goodle and apple maps provide a wealth of information on public transport.
