Walking maps
Published Salisbury walking map – To discover routes in around the city, you can access the Salisbury and Wilton Walking Map. Hard copies are available free from the Salisbury Tourist Information Centre.
The map shows suitable routes into the city for shopping, work or leisure and can be used to find routes to school or follow the Doorstep Walks routes to improve our fitness. These range from 2 miles to 7 miles with detailed directions to follow.
Walking Groups. If you prefer to walk with others there are a number of groups in Salisbury who lead walks ranging from short walks for those wanting to get more active to longer countryside walks. Information is available from the Information Centre.
U3A Walking Groups
Salisbury and District U3A Walking Group organise walks with both a 3-4 mile group as well as a 4-5 mile group. Contact the U3A to apply to join.
Silver Salisbury – Get Wiltshire Walking
We aim to ensure every community in the county has access to a FREE weekly walk led by qualified walk leaders. We try to vary the routes each week and make sure that the slowest walkers are looked after. It’s a great way to get fit, meet new people and get to know your local area. Sorry no dogs, other than assistance dogs. Ramblers Wellbeing Walks-Salisbury
These weekly walks are run by trained volunteers and supported by Salisbury City Council. The walks range from 30 -90 minutes encouraging people to increase or maintain their fitness, help recovery from illness or simply to get out in the company of others and combat social isolation.
