We’re all very much aware, that despite Salisbury City Centre being a 20mph limit, many people break the speed limit, especially on Brown Street. Other areas with a 20mph limit are similarly blighted with speeding traffic, such as Manor Farm Road and Milford Mill Road (the rat run used that comes out at Petersfield).
When I speak to people, they often give me all sorts of reasons why driving at 20mph is difficult, dangerous or ‘worse for the environment’. I found this excellent article produced by the Welsh Government when the 20mph limit was introduced in Salisbury:
