Do you love cycling, do you enjoy teaching children?  Then why not become a bikeability instructor.  Wiltshire Council are looking for more Bikeability instructors to strengthen the team across the county.  These self-employed roles are subject to enhanced DBS clearance and references. Candidates should be competent and confident cyclists themselves, with experience of working with children/ young people, preferably in an education or training role. They will need good communication skills and enjoy working outdoors in all weathers! They will need to hold or gain the 1st4Sport Level2 Award in Instructing Cycle Training and certificates in First Aid and safeguarding. There is currently a Government bursary of £900 towards initial training costs.

Most of the work is with pupils at the top of primary school during term time, but we do run sessions for younger and older pupils, and some holiday-time courses. We would prefer people to be available for at least 2 days per week during term time as most of our courses run in this format, although the role is flexible and many of our team work around other jobs or commitments. There is no obligation to accept work offered.
